Returns & Exchanges Guide | Douceur de Vivre Paris
Returns & Exchanges Guide
At Douceur de Vivre Paris, we want every customer to order with care, confidence, and clear expectations. Bridal and occasionwear pieces are often chosen for meaningful moments, so it is important to understand sizing, delivery timing, product details, and returns before placing an order.
This guide is designed to help customers understand the returns and exchanges process in plain language. The formal Refund Policy remains the main policy document and should be read carefully before ordering.
Before purchasing, please review the product description, size chart, measurements, fabric notes, colour information, delivery estimate, and any special product details. If you are ordering for a wedding, ceremony, formal event, photoshoot, or fixed date, we recommend contacting us before placing your order.
Sizing is one of the most common reasons customers feel uncertain. Please take fresh measurements and compare them to the product size chart rather than relying only on your usual size. If you are between sizes, consider the silhouette, fabric, stretch, lining, and whether alterations may be needed.
If something arrives and you believe there is an issue, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details. Include clear photographs if the item appears damaged, incorrect, or not as expected. This helps us review the situation properly and advise the next step.
Please do not send any item back without contacting us first. Returns may need to follow specific instructions, address details, timing requirements, and eligibility rules. Sending an item back without approval may delay or prevent the return from being processed.
Returned items, where eligible, should usually be unworn, unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in their original condition with any original packaging or tags where applicable. Items that have been worn to an event, altered, damaged after delivery, marked, scented, or handled carelessly may not be eligible under the policy.
Exchanges may not always be available for every product, size, colour, supplier, or destination. Where an exchange is not possible, another solution may be considered according to the applicable policy and circumstances.
For bridal and special occasion orders, please remember that small alterations may be normal. A gown may be beautiful and still need hemming, adjustment, steaming, or tailoring to sit perfectly on the body. This is common in bridal and formalwear and should be planned for in advance.
Colour can also appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting, photography, fabric texture, and surrounding tones. Champagne, ivory, blush, pearl, cream, and soft neutrals can be especially sensitive to light. Please consider this before ordering.
If your order is for an important date, timing matters. Returns and exchanges cannot solve every event-deadline issue if an order has been placed too late. Please allow generous time for delivery, try-on, accessories, steaming, and alterations.
Our aim is to handle customer concerns with fairness, clarity, and care. We ask customers to read carefully, measure thoughtfully, contact us early if unsure, and follow the returns process properly if help is needed.
Elegance begins before the dress arrives. It begins with calm decisions, clear expectations, and a little practical wisdom — which, frankly, has saved more outfits than panic ever has.
